41@100

The George & Barbara Bush Foundation celebrated 41@100 during the week that would have been George H.W. Bush’s 100th birthday on June 12, 2024.

The new Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion was the centerpiece of the centennial celebration. The Texas-sized (29,000 sf) pavilion included two remarkably contrasting feature elements: the 4141 Locomotive and a Marine One helicopter. The pavilion is located in College Station, Texas, adjacent to the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.

The 4141 Locomotive was painted by Union Pacific to match Air Force One, and led President Bush’s funeral train from Houston to his final resting place behind his Presidential Library. President Bush frequently flew in the retired Marine One helicopter during his time in office.
