In the more than 230 years since George Washington was sworn in as the first president of the United States, 43 other Americans have joined Washington in what some call  the exclusive “The Presidents Club”. To align with the 2020 presidential election, The Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum collaborated with Maple & Associates, LLC to showcase some of the world's most famous presidential pairings.

This exhibition highlighted several friend and foe presidential relationships through interpretive exhibit settings, custom graphics and relevant historic artifacts.

A tight design timeline necessitated efficient communication with the client and other agencies such as the National Archives. The key challenge was selecting and managing presidential artifacts from all over the country on a tight timetable—during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic!

This exhibit has nine distinct sections, ranging from a shockingly detailed sculpture of George Washington, to a custom designed and fabricated train caboose and concluding with an Inauguration photo-op. “The Presidents Club: From Adams & Jefferson to Nixon & Trump” exhibit features highlights from the first president to the latest administration.
